Maya Craig

Watershed Coordinator

As a resident of Coral Bay for nearly 20 years, Maya brings a strong knowledge of the area and a deep passion for the value of St John’s natural resources. While Maya may be most recognizable on island for her work as a jeweler, she holds degrees in both Visual Arts and Environmental Science from the Evergreen State College in Washington state. Her work in conservation has been wide ranging in professional and volunteer capacities, from native plant conservation to being a natural history guide. She looks forward to supporting neighborhoods to create synergetic relationships with the land and water around us.

An avid explorer of wild places, Maya can also frequently be seen running off into the bush in search of strange fruit and new places to explore.
